  FCA - Free Carrier (... named place): It means that the seller delivers the cargo, shipped for export, to the carrier assigned by the buyer in the agreed place. The buyer is liable for all the risks and any other addiotional cost once the goods have been handed to the assigned carrier.
FOB - Free on Board (... named port of shipment): It means that the seller delivers the cargo when the it goes beyond the vessel gunwale in the agreed port of origin. Thus, the buyer is liable for all the costs and risks of damage or loss since this moment.
CFR - Cost and Freight (... named port of destination): It means that seller must place the goods in the agreed destination port, being responsble for the international freight costs. However, the risk of damage or loss, as well as any other additional cost, is transferred from the seller to the buyer once the goods go beyond the vessel gunwale in the agreed shipment port.
CIF - Cost, Insurance and Freight (... named port of destination): It means that the seller must place the cargo in the agreed port of destination, being responsible for the international freight costs and the cargo insurance. However, the risk of damage or loss, as well as any other additional cost is transferred from the seller to the buyer once the cargo goes beyond the vessel gunwale in the agreed port of destination.
CIP - Carriage and Insurance Paid To (... named place of destination): It means that the seller must place the cargo in the agreed destination port, being responsible for the international freight costs and the cargo insurance. However, the risk of damage or loss, as well as any other additional cost is transferred from the seller to the buyer once the seller delivers the cargo to the first assigned carrier.
CPT - Carriage Paid To (... named placed of destination): It means that the seller must place the cargo in the agreed destination place, being responsible for international freight. However, the risk of damage or loss, as well as any other additional cost is transferred from the seller to the buyer once the seller delivers the cargo to the first assigned carrier.
DAF - Delivered at Frontier (... named place): It means that the seller delivers the goods at the specified point at the frontier at seller's expense, but before the border customs of the neighboring country. Buyer is responsible for the import customs clearance, payment of customs duties and taxes, and other costs and risks.
DES - Delivered ex Ship (... named port of destination): It means that the seller delivers the cargo on board the vessel at the named port of destination (discharge), at seller's expense. Buyer assumes the unloading fee, import customs clearance, payment of customs duties and taxes, cargo insurance, and other costs and risks.
DEQ - Delivered ex Quay (... named port of destination): It means that the seller delivers the goods to the quay (the port) at destination at his own expense. Seller is responsible for the import customs clearance and payment of customs duties and taxes at the buyer's end. Buyer assumes the cargo insurance and other costs and risks.
DDP - Delivered Duty Paid (... named place of destination): It means that the seller delivers the good to the buyer, shipped for importation and not unloaded from the means of transport. The seller is responsible for most of the expenses, which include the cargo insurance, import customs clearance, and payment of customs duties and taxes at the buyer's end, and the delivery of goods to the final point at destination, which is often the project site or buyer's premises. The seller may opt not to insure the goods at his/her own risks.
DDU - Delivered Duty Unpaid (... named place of destination): It means that the seller delivers the goods to the final point at destination, which is often the project site or buyer's premises, at seller's expense. Buyer assumes the import customs clearance and payment of customs duties and taxes. The seller may opt not to insure the goods at his/her own risks.
FCL [Full Container Load]: Condition of shipment in which the cargo is stowed and unstowed in the container by the user of the transport.
FI [Free In]: Contracting modality of the freight in which loading costs are not included.
FIO [Free In and Out]: Contracting modality of the freight in which loading and unloading costs are not included.
FIOS [Free In, Out and Stowage]: Contracting modality of the freight in which loading, unloading, and stowage costs are not included
FIOST [Free In, Out, Stowage and Trimmed]: Contracting modality of the freight in which loading, unloading, stowage, and trim costs are not included.
FO [Free Out]: Contracting modality of the freight in which unloading costs are not included.
